What to Look for When Buying a Security Light in the UK
Lumens, Not Watts
Brightness is measured in lumens, not watts. Watts measure power consumption; lumens measure actual light output. For a primary access point such as a driveway or front door, you want a minimum of 1,000 lumens. For a rear garden or large commercial area, 3,000 to 5,000 lumens is more appropriate.
